Looking for a cabinet that can handle from fretless to slap. Any advice on choosing between these two?

Well.. I've never tried Vanderkley. However, I've owned a couple of TKS112 for several years and they haven't disappointed me or anyone borrowing them yet.

I don't slap that much, but with the tweeter-option I don't see why they shouldn't work. Tommy is a great guy and I think he thought of slapping more than I have.

Hi nicholas_bt. Where do you live? We may be able to arrange a TKS 112 and Vanderklay parallel test in the Stockholm area. I have a TKS112 and Elfström maybe have a Vanderklay.

I also have the TKS S112 cabs, but if you want a cab that really makes the fretless sing, you should try the TKS 1126 or 2126. The 6" mid woofer does the trick for fretless...

As far as i know have Hedin never tried Vanderkley cabs... But he lives about 700 meters from TKS

I cannot say anything about Vanderkley cabs, since I've never used them, not even seen them in real life. But - you cannot compare apples and bananas; you have to compare the top of the line TKS with the top of the line Vanderkley, so the small TKS S112 won't stand up against the more exclusive Vanderkley cab. The 1126 and 2126 is another thing...

But - I have the Vanderkley Spartan head; that is a beast...

Magnus Bladh is a current user of two Vanderkley Ext112 NeoLite and Vanderkley Aurora.
He is a former user of both TKS 112 and Aguilar SL112 (TH 500 as well).
He does payed giggs several times every week with this rig in different combinations.
He can probably help you Nicholas with the differences if you make contact with him at PB / FB.
