DR Strings announces PURE BLUES™ electric bass strings, featuring QUANTUM Nickel©, an innovative and proprietary alloy material that combines The Best of Steel with Nickel Feel.

DR’s QUANTUM Nickel© alloy offers players a smoother feeling bass string with deep low end, enhanced mids, tons of punch and bright, clear highs. Hand wound on round cores, PURE BLUES™ bass strings combine a fat, warm punch with an edge especially designed for the modern bassist. PURE BLUES™ strings provide more output, more power, and more top end clank than traditional nickel wrapped bass strings.

DR’s PURE BLUES™ bass strings are now available in sets for 4, 5 and 6 string basses. PURE BLUES™ sets are offered in Light (PB-40), Medium Light (PB-45/100), Medium (PB-45) and Heavy (PB-50) gauges for 4 string basses. Medium gauge 5(PB5-45) and 6(PB6-30) string packs are also available.
